Application of the winter hoof protection HUFLEDERKITT ZR:
- Place the horse on a cleaned and hard ground (not natural ground).
- Careful cleaning: thoroughly clean the hooves of dirt and grime, especially the gap between the hoof and the iron.
- Soak hoof leather putty in water at approx. 75 °C for 3-5 minutes so that a soft, chewing gum-like mass is formed (if the water is too hot, the hoof leather putty ZR becomes sticky). Knead the mass well. Approx. 1 tablet (i.e. approx. 120 - 150 gr.) of Hoof Leather Putty ZR is required per hoof.
- Even application: Apply the hoof leather putty evenly to the hooves to ensure complete coverage.
- The horse should stand until the Hoof Leather Putty ZR has cooled (approximately 20 minutes) after the work is completed.
- Allow to dry: Allow the putty to dry completely to create a long-lasting and effective protective layer.
Note: The winter hoof protection HUFLEDERKITT ZR can remain on the sole of the hoof for the entire shoeing period. When the weather is suitable, HUFLEDERKITT ZR can be effortlessly removed with a hoof scraper for reuse when needed. This means that it can be warmed, kneaded and applied again.
